I started Life + Performance Nutrition with a mission to help clients find balanced and nourishing styles of eating that resonate with them, their cultural backgrounds, their goals and their needs.

As an Accredited Practising Dietitian and Accredited Sports Dietitian, I strive to support my clients in navigating their way to a healthy diet with evidence based, tailored nutrition strategies that will support their health and well-being and their performance in life and sports.

Empowering Balanced Nutrition

We prioritise balanced nutrition and embrace the idea that all foods have a place in a healthy diet, rejecting the notion of good or bad foods.

Our purpose is to assist individuals in developing personalised nutrition strategies to support overall health, manage chronic conditions, enhance gastrointestinal health, foster a positive relationship with food, overcome eating problems, and optimise life and sports performance. And we aim to incorporate whole foods into daily life based on each client’s unique needs, goals, and lifestyle.

Start

The Early Years

I grew up in Italy, where food is an integral part of culture and life. Food is how we connect, how we show love and care. Preparing food is also an integral part of our lives, we grow up seeing our mothers and grandmothers cooking in the kitchen and making delicious meals from fresh ingredients.

Growing up we had a cooked meal at lunch time, panini (Italian for sandwiches) were usually for days out and picnics. I learnt to cook and enjoy all types of food at a young age, from Mediterranean vegetables (still my favourite veg) to pasta, olives and fresh sardines. I learnt to love a wide variety of flavours and include them in my daily diet.

The Transition

I started my working life in Tourism Marketing, working in Ireland, Canada and Australia in a range of roles. I did a lot of travel, which I loved. Eventually my passion for tourism marketing ended and my ability to travel was limited when my beautiful two children came along.

Through my travel I was exposed to a variety of cultural foods and food traditions. I also experienced the challenges of making healthful choices whilst travelling and eating out frequently.

Present Day

I then turned my focus to nutrition and its role in our body, mind, health and wellbeing and sports performance. After completing a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics and further training in Sports Nutrition, I am now an Accredited Practising Dietitian and Accredited Sports Dietitian, helping people find their path to health, wellbeing or that competitive edge in sports performance.

I started my private practice in 2019 to support clients in a way that was true to myself and the standard of care I wanted to deliver. I love being able to allocated the time required to truly be in the moment with my clients to best support them and being able to go the extra mile when needed to really make a difference in my client’s wellbeing.
